That Ain’t Right…
PG-13 Rated…
I was at the Thrashers game tonight where they have the “Kiss Cam” showing various couples trying to get them to kiss. Maybe it’s just me, but the “Kiss Cam” was sponsored by Hummer? That ain’t right…
Work
Ever had one of those days at work were you come in with a game plan for the day? Then the second you walk in the door it all goes to hell, and you end up playing clean up all day while what you wanted to do almost seems like a distant memory?
…Yea, I hate it when that happens.
Football / Cosmic Bowling / Ranting and Raving
Spent yesterday morning doing absolutely nothing. Much like this morning…. It was fantastic! It has been so nice to have these days off from work. But work is looming again though.. I can see it in the distance.. Monday will mark the beginning of my busy season, and they will own me for about the next three weeks. Then comes Christmas, and after that they’ll probably still own me for a little while finishing up everything from annuals… Hopefully I can bust it and finish up by new years? We’ll have to wait and see.
Had my heart broken yesterday afternoon watching the LSU – Arkansas game with Sam and Brent up at Sam’s place. An Arkansas win would have given Auburn a place in the SEC Championship game, but it was not meant to be. A great close game though! I’ll enjoy New Years in Orlando, Florida at the Capital One Bowl, playing a much more desirable Ohio State than the winner of the SEC playing West Virginia at the Sugar Bowl in Atlanta.
Last night a bunch of the Atlanta natives went Cosmic Bowling. There are usually so many people in our circle of friends that’s it can become a scheduling nightmare… You can’t show up to dinner with 50 people… So it was really nice to have a smaller crew. I am also so thankful that I know girls who love taking pictures. Without them, I’d have no pictures at all. These girls are so awesome to take pictures and then email them to everyone. Us guys appreciate it. The pictures below are courtesy of Alissa.
After Cosmic Bowling, the group went in two different directions, I ended up with people over at Alissa’s apartment just hanging out, and talking about relationships. It’s always fascinating to hear the female perspective on this stuff…
All of the guys keep hearing the girls are getting frustrated that no one is asking them out, but the guys aren’t asking the girls out because everyone else turns it in some huge deal. And we notice the few couples that have started to date because they pair off, and the rest of us never see them again until we all get invited to the wedding. Why is all of this so unbelievably difficult?
I’ve got an idea. Time to sit everyone down for a talk –
Guys, it’s really not that tough, ask the ladies out.
Girls, give the guys a shot, but not a pity date. If you don’t like a guy like that, Just Say No. PS, guys are unbelieveably stupid when it comes to all this stuff. Please act accordingly.
Everyone – chill out, don’t make such a big deal about everything! Go out with someone and if it works out, fantastic! If not, we’re all still friends. Get over it!
And finally, we all need a little help from our friends. Some might disagree, but set ups are cool. I’d be willing to bet that most guys would ask out most girls in the group if they heard from someone “hey, she thinks you’re pretty cool, you should ask her out”. That’s all it would take.
There, I said it.

Welcome to my Delusions of Grandeur
I’ve told a lot of people about my website since I returned from Russia, so I’m sure a bunch of new people have visited. It’s really nice to have a webpage that people actually see, but it’s also scary that people I barely know, or maybe not even know at all have this window into my life.
I’ve always been pretty open about what I post, but it was easier to do when no one else was reading. From the reader’s side however, this page is worthless unless I post things that truely matter to me and affect my life. So, therein lies the dilemma. How to post openly and honestly about my life, while leaving enough out to still consider it my own. While going forward I’ll surely err on both sides, my goal is to walk the line.
Thanksgiving Eve
Saw the new Johnny Cash movie “Walk The Line” with friends who hadn’t already left town for the holidays. I didn’t know much about Johnn Cash before the movie and had honeslty not even seen the trailer before I sat down in the theatre, but I really enjoyed the film.
Afterwards we met up with a crew over at Betsy’s house and caravaned to the Chineese Karaoke bar. I knew people went a couple years ago after fireworks on the fourth of July, but I had never been. In all actuality it’s probably not chineese, but that’s what people were calling it, and I didn’t know what it really was… All I know is that were were the only white people there.
Anyways! All of the songs were in various oriental languages except the ones we requested. They all had music videos too. But for our songs, they didn’t have music videos, instead they just had what looked like travel videos.. Picture Eminem’s “Loose Yourself” to a background of ducks swimming in a pond, and people hanging out at a park. Quite humorous =)
While there I had a great chat with Bryan Waites….
After we left, we broke it down in the parking lot also. Dance party in the parking lot. Alyssa has picture of the evening, but I haven’t seen them yet.

Auburn – Georgia
Quite possibly one of the best games I’ve ever been to. Top 3 for sure. Our UGA friends were awesome to reserve us a primo spot for tailgating on the North Campus, and we spent the entire day hanging out (big thanks to Betsy, Robin, Eric, and the rest of the Athens Welcoming Crew, for hospitality, and for my Aunt Mary Louise and Uncle Dwayne for tickets!!!). Tons of pictures were taken, but I only managed to come out with three.. should be able to get the others, but for now -
1- Elizabeth and I
2- Sam and I
3- bad angle, but you know what it is.
And, can I tell you how much I hate Alabama? They couldn’t even win when we needed them to! You’d think they lost just to spite us…
Home
Back home safe and sound. Here a just a couple of the pictures. Will post more in a day or so, need to catch up on sleep to prepare for beating UGA this weekend! War Eagle!!

Mission
Racisim is only possible from people whose only race they know is their own. Being able to break down racial and socal stereotypes lead to cultural understanding capable of uniting the word. For this reason, I travel.
Back online!
Sorry for the absence, my blog software wasn’t working. My web admin Garon got it back working again, so I’m off to the races! Hope all is well =)
