Credit is Dead, Bad Pay Killed Him
I’d encourage everyone who has any intentions of buying anything that requires a loan (house, car) in the next year to check your credit report NOW from all three credit reporting companies (Equifax, Experian, Transunion). By law, everyone is entitled at least one free credit report a year. Use the site below to easily navigate the three sites and actually get your credit reports for honest to goodness free.

*Title is a quote from the wall of Weaver D’s restaurant in Athens, Ga. Man I love that place.
Alibi
If I ever fly off the handle bars and completely lose it, attempting to format a Microsoft Word document will be the reason why.
Music iLike
It’s been a while, I know. I was all set to write an entry on how particular songs make up the soundtrack of our lives. But even further, how when we listen to certain songs, we feel instantly taken back to the place in time we were when that song had meaning. It happened to me today, and I felt so clearly like I was in a particular place in the past. It was a really nice momentary visit.
But then I got distracted by iLike – the Facebook application. I was instantly addicted, and it threw off the rest of my evening. Such is life.
I don’t have much to say these days… Just trying to figure which way is up at the new job takes most of my time and energy… But that’s all I’ll say about that =)
Life in “Reverse”
After a week and a half of reverse commuting from Buckhead to Alpharetta, I’m not convinced the term “reverse” commuting is technically appropriate. Especially after it took an hour and a half to get home today. I’ve been leaving at roughly the same time, but I’ve yet to see a pattern in the traffic back up. It seems different each day. If this keeps up I may surrender and move to Alpharetta! (not really, but I’ll sure think about it)
Things that take an hour and a half, other than driving home from work:
Driving to Auburn, Alabama
Solving ~10 Sudoku puzzles
playing a tennis match
Watching My Name is Earl, The Office, and Scrubs.
(I won my mixed doubles Alta (tennis) match last Saturday 6-1,7-5. I was pretty excited about it.)
Merry Christmas
Christmas day 2006, I received a text message that only read “Merry Christmas”. But the sender’s phone number wasn’t in my phone book. To this day, despite my best stalking skills (short of calling the number…), I have no idea who sent that message. And for some reason I’m still bothered by it.
Well, I guess it’s not like we’re real close…
Near Death Experience
Today I was introduced to someone as “Mr. Grace” for the first time in my life. I almost died.
Timing
I am convinced that a person’s mental capability has nothing to do with their job marketability. Specifically from my MBA class, there are great people who are still unemployed, and slackers who are not.
It’s all about timing.
Relationships are the same way. I found out today that a buddy of mine who I hadn’t talked to in a while just got engaged. I’m really excited for him, but wow… I never saw that coming. Then there are other friends of mine (guys and girls) who for the life of me, can’t figure out why they’re still single.
It’s all about timing.
