You’re on your own

>gan writing this long diatribe last night about the financial situation the country is in, but I quit because I was only ranting and raving. I even stopped making sense to myself.

Here’s the deal. This country will continue to be in big trouble as long as people believe that it is the government’s job to take care of them.

I finally got the courage to view my investment accounts tonight - it’s not pretty.

No, but this post was more directed at the ridiculous levels of entitlement programs that make up 70% of the nation’s budget each year.

I am a fan of the free market. Unfortunately, the free market depends on people not conducting their businesses in a way that is criminal… but that is where policy is supposed to come in. I think there are a lot of people on both sides in the isle in congress that have done a piss poor job the last couple of years that have allowed this to get so far out of hand.

A little recession wouldn’t be a bad thing for the economy, but if Obama is elected, his tax plan would wreck the economy.
