Our house has been on the market for a while, and one night April and I were watching TV during a pretty bad storm. We could hear the wind blowing really hard, and then we heard a soft woosh…. Nothing dramatic, but not an every day sound either. So I decided to check it out.
…and this is what I saw outside my back window! We’d learn later that the reason it didn’t crash loudly was because it took our five other trees on the way down, as well as multiple sections of fence. The crazy thing was that it landed in the perfect place to not hit anything other than the fences. Had it gone any other direction, it would have been a huge disaster. Praise God!
This tree was massive, and left a huge hole in the backyard. You can see the shed in the background for perspective.
Looking back towards the house at the giant.
Gunnison Tree Service did an awesome job cleaning things up. After the first day, my entire front curb was filled with tree trunks…
But there was still a lot left in the back!
Ironically, even though the house had been on the market for a while, we actually sold the house shortly after the tree fell. Who knew?
